Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in influence within the urban setting.
Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to begin their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.
This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.
This explains, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem unsuited, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
For one thing, the group knows exactly where to go next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, north of the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants retribution.
- The adventurer has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a nasty location.
- The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could assist the team access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The cleric defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- The target is marked for death by House Halovar.
This results in them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.
Upcoming Developments
From the recent installment’s follow-up content, we discover that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Seekers and Planners tables.
Audiences can look forward to learning which characters will be where in the season’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on October 24.
